Kathleen McGuire is a highly entertaining speaker. She presents a range of topics including her personal story as a women; the power of music to make positive change in the world; and social justice issues. In 2016 she was a keynote speaker at the Rotary District Conference 9800 in Bendigo. With a passion for education and inspired by a family of teachers, throughout her career McGuire has taught music and conducted ensembles in schools and universities. She earned a Graduate Diploma in Music Education from Monash University and, from the University of Colorado, the Preparing Future Faculty Certificate and the Graduate Teacher Certificate. She has Full Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and is ranked as a Highly Accomplished Teacher with the Department of Education and Training. She is a Sessional Academic in the Education and Arts Department at the Australian Catholic University, lecturing in music methods and educational psychology to Masters of Teaching and Bachelor of Teaching students. She also teaches music at Brunswick Secondary College. Her official educational credentials are registered with World Education Services.
